HTC Android Phone Enters Italian Market; HTC Magic Specs Revealed

Taiwan-based mobile phone manufacturer HTC has collaborated with Italian mobile phone operator TIM (Telecom Italia Mobile) to launch the Google Android-based HTC Dream in Italy, according to Taiwan's Economic Daily News. It is reported that HTC Dream, marketed as G1 in the United States and the United Kingdom, was due to hit the Italian market on March 19. Meanwhile, HTC is prepared to roll out its second Android-based phone, HTC Magic, via collaboration with Vodafone in the United Kingdom. Slated for launch in April, HTC Magic is expected to feature a 3.2-inch QVGA (Quarter Video Graphics Array) touch screen, trackball, GPS (Global Positioning System), and 3.2MP camera. Connectivity options include HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access), GPRS (General Packet Radio Service), and Wi-Fi. Applications such as Google Maps and Google search will be embedded in HTC Magic as well.
